Some things just aren’t made the way they used to be. Take homes, for example. A less-than-perfect smile is nothing to be ashamed of, but if your mouth is in good health, your teeth – and your smile – can be restored. It’s called full mouth restoration, and it works from the ground up to restore and repair your beautiful smile.

What Is Full Mouth Restoration?

Full mouth restoration is usually a multi-phase procedure in which your smile is restored incrementally with several different procedures. Full mouth restoration often means the use of crowns, dental implants or even braces depending on the type and extent of the damage to your teeth.

First, Dr. Mazhari helps you adjust your bite to make it more comfortable. This is done by orthodontics and can take months or even years to complete. Once your orthodontic treatment is complete, Dr. Mazhari requires you to adjust to your new bite pattern for a minimum of four to six months to make sure it is comfortable and works for you.

After the first phase is complete, Dr. Mazhari begins the second phase: to restore the teeth. This can be done in several ways. He may restore the teeth using partials, crowns or dental implants. Dental implants are attached to the jaw via a screw that is implanted into the jawbone. This process can take several months to complete, as the jaw must be healed as the screws must successfully “take” to the jaw bone before they are ready to be implanted with their permanent denture or crown.

Dr. Mazhari may also change the color and shape of the teeth with veneers or Lumineers. Veneers and Lumineers are thin sheets of porcelain that are adhered to the front of the teeth so they appear whiter, brighter, and their shape and size are improved to appear more desirable to the patient.
