Your wisdom tooth extraction procedure can vary based on whether your third molars are impacted below the gumline or if they have fully erupted. For impacted teeth, we may refer you next door to the expert oral surgeon that we collaborate with to offer our patients outstanding results and truly professional care. This would involve the surgical removal of the wisdom teeth by creating a window in the gumline and removing them.
For simpler extractions, like in cases where the teeth have completely come in, Dr. Mazhari can gently lift the wisdom teeth out of their sockets and remove them from the gumline. This process doesn’t require any surgical intervention, and to make sure that you remain completely comfortable, we’ll administer a localized anesthesia to numb the area.
